Six Orange County businessmen have been feted as EY’s Entrepreneurs of the Year.
The honorees, a mix of software, medical and franchise executives, were announced June 16.
“The 2017 class of award winners represent new ways of thinking, disruptive business models and overall dynamism that make this country a great place to do business,” Jon Smith, EY partner and EOY program director, said in a statement.
The awards were created by Ernst & Young. They have been around for 31 years and are celebrated in more than 145 cities worldwide. Categories have included distribution and manufacturing, emerging energy, clean tech and natural resources, family business, financial services, life sciences, real estate, hospitality, construction, technology and more.
Finalists included a list of local CEOs that covered a broad swath of Orange County companies and included 16 men and one woman.
