Cleveland Clinic and Rendina Healthcare Real Estate have broken ground on a new $32 million, 72,000-square-foot Family Health Center in Coral Springs, Fla.
Situated on a 5.25 acre site at the intersection of University Drive and Sawgrass Expressway, the three-story facility will be fully occupied by Cleveland Clinic and will feature clinical space, diagnostic imaging and an ambulatory surgery center.
The new Family Health Center is expected to open in 2018.
Cleveland Clinic selected Rendina after performing a national search for a real estate development partner for this project. The project will be developed under a joint venture between Cleveland Clinic and Rendina.
“We’re excited to have the opportunity to explore a new approach to delivering a high-quality outpatient facility with a joint venture partner,” said Peter Volas, Senior Director of Real Estate at Cleveland Clinic. “Rendina has been a great partner and we’re really excited to begin construction on schedule.”
“Working with Cleveland Clinic is an honor and a tremendous opportunity,” said Richard Rendina, CEO of Rendina. “Throughout our 30-year history, our mission has been to deliver the highest quality healing environments to communities throughout the country. There is no better way to realize that mission than by partnering with a first-class healthcare provider like Cleveland Clinic and turning their vision of enhancing the quality of care in South Florida into a reality.”
